Who is the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Argenziano School?
In short, it’s YOU. It’s parents, students, faculty, and staff, all working together to achieve our goals. We are your PTA; you are welcome and encouraged to attend all of our meetings and events.
What does the PTA do? Together we strengthen our children’s learning and our entire school community. The PTA provides for transportation for field trips for each class, enriching activities, educational opportunities, and community events. Last year, the PTA provided funding for many items and experiences for students, including:
Why should YOU support the Argenziano PTA?
When you become a member, your support will bring us closer to accomplishing these goals. Our dues are $12 per family and help to fund programs both locally and nationally. Joining the PTA does not commit you to anything – but if you would like to get involved, please check out our Volunteer Opportunities.
PTA members can vote at meetings and help shape the association and school community priorities. You can give as much or as little time as you have. By becoming a member you support the group with your membership dues and help us build a strong community.
The AFAS PTA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The AFAS PTA keeps $6.25 of the $12 dues, while the remaining funds are sent to the state and national PTA organizations. Every dollar you give above the $12 remains with the AFAS PTA and helps to fund school programming. On average, it costs $89 per student to fund all of the school activities.
We are always looking for more people and more programs to support our children and families! Please choose to be a member of a great organization that funds many of the activities, programs and experiences for all students at AFAS.

- Field trips such as:
- A trip to Plimouth Pawtuxet for the third graders
- A portion of the Nature's Classroom overnight field trip for the sixth graders
- A visit to the urban gardens for the first graders
- A trip to Canobie Lake Park for the eighth graders
- Materials to support the specialist classrooms and special projects
- Teacher Appreciation Week gifts
- Family Emergency Fund
